- Bears have a right to drink fresh water free of soaps and garbage.
- Bears are allowed to see people if they choose.
- Bears can explore the forest if they wish.
- Bears are allowed to climb any tree any time.
- Bears have a right to forate any time, day or night.
- Bears have a right to live a wild, healthy, and fruitful life, unchanged by humans.
What can you do to protect bear's rights?
- Store your food in a canister or locker day and night.
- While eating or prepairing food, keep your food in front of you and within arm's reach at all times.
- If a bear approaches you, immediately yell loudly to scare the bear away.
- Do not feed bears.
- Watch and enjoy the bears at a safe distance (at least 50 yards).
- Approaching or feeding wildlife ro allowing them to get your food may result in a fine of up to $5,000.
